VITAL Services statement on COVID-19 (3/13/20)
We are carefully monitoring information issued relative to the global outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure you that we have solid processes in place regarding property cleanliness and preparedness, as we operate a public space.
This is a dynamic and evolving situation which we will continue to monitor and communicate with you. The health and safety of our individuals and employees is of the utmost importance. At this time, our plan is to remain open. We assure you we will be attentive and vigilant.
Examples include the following:
We are taking sensible steps to help protect our team by limiting outside activities.
Our entire management staff is continually ensuring we are reinforcing our stringent cleaning practices throughout the day.
Public touch points, such as handrails, door handles and knobs are cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
We are limiting outside visitors.
We encourage you, as we have our employees, to visit the CDC website for up-to-date information and safety precaution tips: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. At present, CDC prevention guidance includes:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the restroom; before and after eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. For information about handwashing, see CDCs Handwashing website.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Please stay home when you are feeling sick.
The above CDC guidance and proper procedures for hand washing are also posted in our back-of-house work areas and our employees are reminded to wash their hands after every break.
